Sound Rendering

There are several Python tools available for sound-rendering, transformation and translation. We divide them into four categories:

  1. Low-level: Direct control of the audio hardware.

  2. Medium level: DSP tools suitable for the generation and processing of sound at the audio signal level.

  3. High-level: For algorithmically generating sound using high-level data constructs.

  4. Conversion: For the conversion and manipulation of sound stored in various sound-file formats.

Note: We make a distinction between Sound Rendering and Sound Control, the latter being part of the Routing Modules Set (see menu bar). MIDI control falls into that category.
